Replacing the nylon thermocouple screw on a Defender

Postby Andrew N on Tue Nov 03, 2009 2:47 am

Hey Mosquito Magnet experts,

Wonder if you can help me fix my Defender. I am trying to replace the nylon screw that holds the thermocouple in place. It seems to have melted and sheared off (see photo). I have replaced it with a nylon screw from Home Depot that is 8x32 1/2" long.

- The screw seems a little long - should I cut it?
- Does the screw push the thermocouple tight against the metal body of the mosquito magnet chamber, or does it need some kind of spacer?

Attached are some pics of what I mean.
